Chapter 4: Architecture

Descriptive:
This is a wooden cabin. The architectural structure is built off the ground using bricks for elevation that allows the cabin to breathe. The front entrance is made of brick. There are adequate porch lighting upon entry ways.

Technical Elements:
This structure is bearing-wall construction. Building material is a combination of wood, brick, mortar and stones. The proportion of the structure is small in relationship to the rest environment.

Stimulation of Senses:
This cabin structure in the wooden area with natural materials. I find the wooden paneling structure natural in its environment and gives an idea of calm and quiet of nature. The red of the brick in comparison to the wood panels of the rest of the structure. The colors complement each other well and so complement the surrounding environment.

  1. The structure is beautiful...the cabin seems to exude a sense of peacefulness. It seems like a great place to "get away from it all".
