Chapter 2: Pictures

Description:
This picture is taken at a hotel in Sarasota, Florida. It is wooden bridge that is being crossed by two young blonde haired girls that are dressed up. The rock waterfall is flowing into a green water retention area. A bird had stopped on a concrete edge of a gardened area. The wind appears to be lightly blowing by the sway of the little girl’s hair. It was originally printed onto a light colored canvas.

Technical Elements:
This photograph uses secondary hues. The hues use more than just the primary colors (red, blue and yellow) and using secondary hues as derivatives of primaries. The changes in intensity allows for the green of the water to show variations and depth. The picture demonstrates mass in relation to other objects. The mass of the child in relation to the mass of the railing.

Stimulation of senses:
I love young children. They show such innocence and inquisitiveness. The curiosity of children to explore their surroundings makes things seem so pure in nature. The running water makes the picture appear calm and innocent.
